Biography Karina was surrounded by music from a young age, learning to play the violin and piano, then later the flute. She studied for a BA(Hons) in music at the University of East Anglia and was an active member in the Norfolk music community playing in a number of orchestras and ensembles, including the Norfolk Youth Orchestra, the UEA Orchestra, and the Norwich Philharmonic Orchestra Karina was inspired to begin playing the harp after attending a workshop, subsequently studying under Catherine White. As well as taking private bookings, Karina plays as the principal harpist for the Banbury Symphony and Cherwell Orchestras and the Beauchamp Sinfonietta. She also works as an accompanist and a musical director for several amateur dramatics groups and choirs and has organised many musical performances during her time as a primary school teacher. As well as holding Grade 8 harp with Distinction, Karina is also a Grade 8 flautist and has a diploma qualification (DipABRSM) on piano. |
